Our perfect place is visible from our outdoor classroom and close to the lake and wetlands. Easily roped off from the play area, we are excited to see what we can catch!

Introducing Teeterville Public school
We are Teeterville Public School. We have 204 students in our wonderful school. We’re the grade 5/6 class, and we’re very exited to get started on this project. We live north of Brantford, about half an hour from Brantford. We are a rural community but we have a very large geographical area, that is home to a lot of different species in long point conservation area, which is located beside our school yard. Outside of this study, we have found very unique species like, katydids, garter snakes, bald eagles and cicadas. We are sure to give a lot of data and thank for this chance!
Cameron School Students are Excited
It is spring here in Burnaby B.C. The insects are arriving along with the tulips and cherry blossoms. Our grade 5/6 has just started a unit on Diversity of Life and are looking forward to catching and viewing insects. Today we picked a site for our trap. I originally had no idea it was going to be so large (I guess I didn’t do my research properly!). We are a little concerned that people will destroy it, as our school is in a urban setting surrounded by high-rises and a mall. We hope that it will be ok. We will educate all our students and ask that they let all our neighbours know that we are budding scientists and we need their help! We also just started blogging so we have lots to celebrate. Looking forward to it.
