It has been a few cool days in Yorkton and the insects are few and far between! The temperature highs have been 12 degrees, 7 then 8. Our total catch volume is maybe 6 little insects.
It was a cold, and somber afternoon. Students were sad that it was time to take the Malaise trap down. Fed Ex will be here in the morning. Mrs. Muir thought with the freezing temperatures for this evening that it would not make much of a difference.
This was a great few weeks. We look forward to getting our results back and that of the others from Canada’s participating schools.
So far everything is turning out just great! We put in the third bottle. I hope we catch more bugs. Blogger:Taylor

Today, marks DAY 1 of our School Malaise Trap Program. Our team worked together to get the trap deployed. We observed the process and gathered data.
We look forward to getting in touch with other schools over these next few weeks. Our first contact has been @LuckyLake. We will be looking you up on the map. Do you have a twitter account (@susanmuir70 ) we can follow? Thank you, and we look forward to seeing pics and hearing about your temperature for the day.
