Let\u2019s begin with some general summary statistics. This fall\u2019s program involved <strong>54<\/strong>\u00a0schools\u00a0in <strong>53<\/strong> cities, <strong>81<\/strong> classrooms, \u00a0<strong>2,357<\/strong> students and <strong>10<\/strong> comparison sites. The trap that your classroom deployed was one of <strong>64<\/strong> traps that were running from September 21 &#8211; October 2, 2015. The map below shows all of these collection sites, with comparison sites marked in blue and schools marked in red.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/maps\/d\/u\/0\/embed?mid=z0ZZYKhxX-Xg.kB1drcuDww2g\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The <strong>64<\/strong> traps on average collected <strong>750<\/strong> specimens for the collecting period. Our staff sorted <strong>47,711<\/strong> specimens and selected <strong>16,798<\/strong> to be barcoded. Our final dataset was made up of <strong>15,034<\/strong> barcodes (not all worked and short barcodes were discarded).
