We are excited to start collecting today!!
It’s very wet outside! A mixture of snow and rain, which means no bugs!
We are hoping for nice weather this week! 🙂
Today is Friday, the 5th day of our experiment.
The weather is still damp and there’s still snow on the ground; leaving us with no bugs 🙁
Hopefully next week is better, and we will be able to update you with more exciting news.
Our trap is back up!
Sadly, there is still no sign of bugs.
Hopefully next week is better!
Last night we had rough winds and rain. Unfortunately, our trap blew down, and is raining too hard to go out and fix it.
Yesterday near lunch, we had checked and there was still no insects.
We hope for a better day tomorrow!
Today is our first day! The snow is finally starting to melt! We have our trap set up, and we are all ready to go!
Today it is sunny and about 3 degrees, but it’s feeling like -1 degrees.
Our class is excited to see if we bring in any insects this week.
Pictures coming soon 🙂
We are looking forward to getting started! We still have a great deal of snow here, so we are still waiting for that perfect spot for our Malaise Trap! Hoping to post a picture in the next couple of days after we do some shoveling 🙂
Miscouche Consolidated 🙂
We are very excited to take part in the Malaise Trap Program. We have a great deal of snow here on Prince Edward Island with approximately 20-25 cm more coming on Sunday! We have an idea where our perfect location is but we are waiting for some of the snow to melt before we post a picture!
Talk to you soon,
