  1. Hey Hamilton Students! What you think are male mosquitoes are actually a different kind of fly. They are called crane flies (order Diptera, family Tipulidae). Male mosquitoes are the same size as female mosquitoes, what’s different about them is that they don’t bite you, only the females do! They are from order Diptera, family Culicidae.
