We set up our trap last Friday with the Grade 3/4 class and talked about how it works. We estimated that there would be between 100 and 150 different types of insects found in our traps.

On Monday we installed the bottle in the trap and tightened the pegs as it was very (very, very) windy over the weekend.  We checked it with the grade 5 class during outdoor education in the afternoon. The temperature was about 16 degrees and there was 90% cloud cover…so it felt a bit chilly! We were surprised with how many insects we had caught already!
